People and Operations Manager

High-end Interior Design

Up to £65,000 + bonus

Office-based in Chelsea

We are super excited to be collaborating with an amazing Interior Design scale-up to search for their first People and Operations Manager. The studio run 5-6 custom, bespoke projects per year, at a budget of upwards of £150 per sq ft, projects are a combination of commercial and residential interior design.

This role is really going to be the glue within the business to keep projects, operations, and People running smoothly. The role requires a highly motivated and organised individual with experience of managing an interior design studio.

The role:

• Operations- Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the studio. Define and track KPIs to ensure the Design team’s operational efficiency.
• People Management– Establishing and evolving People Policies and procedures. Monitor and report on monthly team resources.
• Talent Management– Establishing recruitment processes. Selecting and headhunting talent.
• Contract Management- Administer contracts with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
• Project Finances – Monitor and manage finances specific to each project. Coordinate effectively between the procurement team, clients, and suppliers to ensure timely and on-budget project completion

Requirements:

• Experience within a similar role within high-end luxury/ creative industries (Interior design preferred)
• Previous experience managing teams - Organised, inspiring, and capable of motivating and empowering a design team
• Strong financial and commercial acumen and brings relevant experience to the role
• A passion for the design industry, an understanding of the high-end luxury market and experience in what the design process entails.

Role details:

• Base salary of up to £65,000
• Annual bonus.
• 5-days a week in office in the heart of Chelsea (stunning offices, as you can imagine!)
• Flex-hybrid options on Fridays.
